Nanette Medved-Po
Nanette Medved-Po, founder of PCX Solutions and PCX Markets, is dedicated to accelerating the transition to a circular economy and ensuring that no plastic waste ends up in nature. Witnessing the impact of plastic pollution in the Philippines, she launched PCX Solutions in 2019, setting the first global standard for Plastic Pollution Reduction. In 2021, she established PCX Markets, a traceable plastic cleanup credits platform, which has prevented over 100 million kilograms of plastic waste from leaking into the environment. Additionally, Nanette founded HOPE in 2012, a B Corporation that has planted over 1.4 million coconut trees with smallholder farmers and delivered 128 public school classrooms. Nanette actively addresses environmental challenges at international forums, contributing to global efforts to manage plastic waste. She serves on the boards of WWF Philippines, Winrock International, and now, Endeavor Philippines. She has been named an Asia Gamechanger Climate Hero by The Asia Society in 2022 and recognized as one of Forbes Asia’s Heroes of Philanthropy.
Ron Hose
Ron Hose is a distinguished entrepreneur and tech investor renowned for his contributions to financial inclusion in the Philippines. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Cornell University, where he graduated at the top of his class. In 2014, Ron founded Coins.ph with the mission to provide accessible financial services to the unbanked population through a mobile blockchain-enabled platform. Under his leadership, Coins.ph grew to serve over 10 million customers, facilitating remittances, bill payments, and online transactions. The platform’s success attracted major investors and led to its acquisition by Indonesian tech giant Go-Jek in 2019, marking the largest tech exit to date in the Philippines and one of the largest for the region. Before Coins.ph, Ron was a founding partner at Innovation Endeavors, an early-stage venture capital fund backed by Eric Schmidt, and co-founded TokBox, a video conferencing company backed by leading investors such as Sequoia Capital and Bain Capital before being acquired by Telefonica. He serves on the boards of 7-Eleven Philippines and previously UnionBank of the Philippines, further influencing the digital transformation in the region. Notably, Ron became an Endeavor Entrepreneur in 2017. Beyond his entrepreneurial ventures, Ron is an active angel investor and advisor, supporting numerous startups in Southeast Asia. Ron’s commitment to leveraging technology for social good continues to inspire and shape the future of fintech and the broader startup ecosystem in Southeast Asia.
