Kimberly Yao & Iacopo Rovere of CloudEats Join the Endeavor Network

Endeavor selected the Philippines’ Kimberly Yao & Iacopo Rovere of CloudEats at the 32nd Virtual International Selection Panel (vISP) held December 13-16, 2022. The panel included Lee Mayer (Havenly and Endeavor Entrepreneur), Mona Ataya (Mumzworld and Endeavor Entrepreneur), Noureddine Tayebi (Yassir and Endeavor Entrepreneur), Tony Jamous (Oyster and Endeavor Entrepreneur), Richard Harris (Black Crow AI), and Wiktor Schmidt (Netguru and Endeavor Poland Board Chair).

Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the Ateneo de Manila University and had always dreamt of becoming an astronaut given her passion for adventure and the unknown. As an entrepreneur who has built and scaled several businesses, she has still pursued her passion to venture into the unknown. Kim began her career at The Palace, the Philippine’s largest F&B and entertainment complex, where she served as the VP of Marketing and Managing Partner as her last role. After over a decade in the world of hospitality, Kim founded her first tech startup, Boozy, which she grew to become the leading online delivery company for beverages in the Philippines. After leading and scaling the company for two years, she led an acquisition of a majority stake in the company by a conglomerate called Emperador (one of the largest alcoholic beverage companies in the world). After this, she took her industry knowledge and entrepreneurial learnings and founded CloudEats alongside Iacopo Rovere.

Iacopo comes from a family of engineers and corporate professionals. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Università degli Studi in Milano and two master’s degrees in International Management from the University of Sydney and CEMS Global Alliance. Upon graduation, he joined Foodpanda, an F&B eCommerce company based in Singapore (later acquired by Delivery Hero in 2016), as the company’s Operations Manager. One year into this initial role, Iacopo stepped up as Head of Project Management for India following Foodpanda’s largest M&A. After this experience he ultimately earned the CEO and Co-founder title at Foodpanda Philippines.

CloudEats is a pioneer cloud restaurant company creating next-generation digital brands and proprietary cloud kitchen technology. It is one of the leading cloud kitchen players in Southeast Asia, having served over 3 million customers in the Philippines and Vietnam.

The ISP is the culmination of a rigorous multi-step selection process to identify high-impact entrepreneurs who demonstrate the potential to leverage Endeavor’s resources and mentorship to create large-scale wealth and jobs, and are committed to reinvesting their time and money in their local entrepreneurship ecosystems to help others take off.
